Just something old and beat is fine, doesn't even have to have an edge on it. I had thought of making one out of an old lawnmower blade, may still. Report

September 28, 20196 yr Popular Post comment_203030 So the froe was in the left hand (I was asking whether the cutting tool with a wooden handle or the big wooden mallet thing was the froe. I had kinda figgered it was the cutting utensil, but thought I’d be funny. Didn’t expect anyone to take me seriously LOL. Got me a new word if I ever play Scrabble again) Report

Depends on what your time is worth, and how good you are at metal working. I'm pretty sure that I have a new piece of metal that would work for it. A leaf spring or a mower blade isn't going to be flat. Edited September 28, 20196 yr by CharlieL Report
