My thoughts,

Our beautiful country, as we celebrate the anniversary of our Independence, I am bursting with pride at how far our young country has come in such a short period of time.

I am thankful for living here, I thank God every day for allowing me and my family to be a part of the American experience. I love our American people, with all our faults, and with all our unique traits and culture that has formed since the day William Bradford set foot on Plymouth Rock.

 

We are the American Experience, there is none like it the world over, there are no people like us, and we are a very unique culture made up of a melting pot of Natives, Immigrants, and Natural Born.

 

Thank you America, thank you men and women who provide for our protection so that we may sleep soundly at night, thank you Military. And thank you to the folks on Capitol Hill who legislate, argue, and represent. And thank you to all Americans for personally making my families life rich with daily experiences as our people and our society grow, change, shift, re-position, and never settle for status quo.

 

Thank you to our Founding Fathers who authored the Declaration of Independence, and thank you Americans who created the Constitution of the United States

 

And most of all, thank you God for shining your light down on our country and having mercy on our land and for your fatherly love, and endless supply of patience as we Americans, just try to figure it all out.

I agree with everything except that Capitol Hill part. I'll stop there. 

I’m very proud of this amazing experiment in democracy.  So far, it seems to be working.  I do think that the next two years are critical to the country.  I’m fear that chaos and anarchy is on the horizon.

Here we are again Patriot Woodworker's, celebrating another wonderful 4th of July together! Yes we have our challenges today, but as Americans, we always overcome, and we always come out on top!

We'll be spending the day at home. Nowhere to go anyway, everything is canceled.

...I might have some old fireworks stashed somewhere. I know I've still got a couple of quarter sticks. 

We may go for a drive.  It's been a very long time and I have a full tank of gasoline.  I want to see some of the corn fields, soybean and cotton fields.  It's been a couple of decades.  May have to make a picnic lunch.  

Going to wifes uncles house. He is 2 months younger than me. His electric clothes dryer is not working. I guess it is one of them that has a bunch of electronic controls. We shall see how effective I am on troubleshooting this  

Neighbor asked permission to use the empty lot for a firework display.  All the public displays have been cancelled.  Read in the newspaper the sales of fireworks has increased tremendously so there may be a good showing in the neighborhood tonight.

Going to fill buckets and load the bed of the Polaris Ranger for possible out of hose range "oops" too.

I expect we'll get more neighborhood fireworks tonight.   Had some last night and was ready to add my own "booms" to theirs, but they stopped early.

My own family...   ancestors from my dads side supposedly landed over here in 1751 based on info i have.   A bunch of Quakers who got run out of England and spent a generation in Ireland before making that trip across.   Kids and wife all sheltering in other cities...wheeeee.   I'm having a cold one and it's only high 80s today.
