Pauley That I a nice clean finishing area , now where is the real shop?:D  Very nice and organized shop. Compact makes for less walking, after all you will be spending all your time on the lathe.....,right?

I do not even think I could fit my 3 lathes in that amount of space. My 24 X 36 is getting crowded and yesterday had to spend almost an hour getting pieces of leftover logs off the floor so I could walk. Gotta  make some pics if everyone promises  not to laugh at my house keeping.

That’s it.  In this tiny shop I have a Nova Comet II midi-lathe, a 10 in Rigid R4512 saw, a grizzly 14onch band saw, a dust collector, thickness planer, floor model drill press.  Not to mention two bench top sanders, router table and many many hand tools stuffed into the tool boxes.  My wife and I will be selling our home soon and I’m going to be sure to have a bigger shop....with windows!

Back in 2015 I fell off a ladder and crushed my ankle.  It was 11 months before I could get back into my shop and start making sawdust again.  I had left my shop a mess.  Never again.  I clean-up at the end of each day.  Just some days I do a better job of cleaning.  It bothered me.  If I would never been able to get back into the shop I do not want to leave a big mess for my love ones.  Danl

My thoughts on this are as follows.  When I go I want family or friends to come into the shop and see the myriad number of projects and such all just like I left them.  As if I expected to come in and start working.  I plan on getting a good laugh with the Angels as everyone tries to figure it out and what to do with it.

My son (stepson) has expressed an interest in my shop if something happened to me. Pleased me to think my stuff might continue on with him after I’m gone.

I try to clean up each day also.  However, I have a bad back and neuropathy in my feet.  So there are days when I can’t even finish a project, but there is always tomorrow.

Somewhere around there.  Really haven’t decided yet.  My daughter and son-in-law are buying our house and we’re looking for something smaller...but with a big garage or large cellar.

Nice shop but where do you actually work at in there?

Not much room...or wall space left.  The area I have to work/assemble etc...is about the size probably shy of a full sheet of plywood.

Not looking forward to moving, that’s for Sure!!  My shop right now is only 15x15 feet.  So I’m hoping for a huge shop....maybe 18x18 feet...ha ha ha....this is absolutely our last move.  I’m turning 70 and getting run down....a lot, but always do what I need to do.
