Thanks lew. That EWT wood burning wire set up looks pretty slick. May have to get one of those.

For years I have used various gauges of electrical solid core wire with two blocks on each end to hold.  I had no idea someone made a tool for it.

I used guitar string braided and handles are indian rosewood. Made two sets, one for the shop and one for my demo box. I keep a lot of small turning tools or accessories in my demo box so all I have to gather is wood and gouges when doing on site turning.

@Gerald I have used old banjo strings. I really like how the EWT handles/strings are designed for interchangeability.
