There was an article about some woman doing karate demo's in the Walmart parking lot in the news.  

 

Never mind it was the son that was walking around naked in the store, and the dog stole some biscuit mix.

The dog wasn't charged. He never made it to the door. He did sexually assault a male employee's leg, though.

Meh... it was alright. Sold ONE plaque and got a lot of "yea, I want _____. I'll email you". Probably gave out 100-200 business cards. Feeling rather down about it. If I don't get any sales out of this, I'm going to have to find an actual job to pay off what I've already invested instead of continuing to do what I'm loving. 
Of course it didn't help that Saturday night, the sewers backed up and flooded my bathroom and part of my bedroom. Spent several hours cleaning that up, disinfecting, sterilizing, trying not to vomit... only to go back to the show on Sunday and still not sell anything. 

 

So, I'm taking a few days off.

 

 

But, yes. I remembered my pants.

No sweat Ma, it will come soon enough.  Look on the bright side, you remembered your pants!!  Baby steps.

Hey Doc, I speak from experience. Some days at shows are like that. Throngs of people stroll by but never buy anything. However, they are looking. They took your card. They think about it, how will it fit in their homes, where will they put it? A seed of your art gets into their memory and sometimes the next time they see you, they buy. Stay positive and show your stuff. Hype it up (gently) a little.

Stay with it Doc, can't get a home run in every game - sometimes you strike out.

How were the other vendors doing?  A lot of factors figure into how any particular show will do.

You have some nice stuff, just have to find the right place to market it.

Hats comment got me to thinking. Some of your inventory takes up a lot of acreage on a wall. You might want to consider making a few scaled down versions (for example the flags) to see how they are received. People may be more willing to purchase a smaller version and fitting it into the existing decor instead of trying to figure out where to hang a bigger version.

And you'll find over time that some folks like you stuff just the way you do it.   Keep at it.
