March 4, 20197 yr The last few days have been the most wholly unproductive and totally frustrating that I've ever experienced. Ignorance, stupidity, senility and ADD has descended upon me all at once. I've finally given up until I get some printed instructions. My son said it would be easy. His 13 yo son just laughs. Oh well, in a few days the book will be here and I can get back at it. I ain't gonna let it whip me.

March 5, 20197 yr Popular Post Hey Stick you can have all the snow. Don't get much but only a dusting this year. By the way I took your advise again and ordered a Bosch 18V drill. Got it today and I think it is great even tho have not drilled a hole yet. Got some curly maple and ash scrapes glued up and finished a box for a gift , in the finish room now. Today spent taking tenons off a few bowls and turning some of those scrapes into blanks. Maybe make good tops for boxes.

Current is an Australian Shepherd...she doesn't give up anything...she's a hoarder...I'm finding secret stashes all over...ear corn, solar lamps, door mat, plastic bottles, kid's gloves, kid's toys, a baseball, two beer cans, small birds, a mouse, and sticks of every size and length possible...until this snow, she started digging again and apparently is now burying treasures to be retrieved at her discretion. That's why we need warm weather so the boys can wear her down and keep her busy. Unsupervised, she gets bored quickly. The only herding she's done has been the possums, the outside cat (who really detests that skill-set) and the youngest grandson. How 'bout I send you the rain? Run it through the dehydrator, freeze dry then disperse. Kinda' like a compressed file or snow seeds...1" = 10"-12" of snow. You would be on about 4' of snow alone for February not counting the ~foot of snow we also received.

March 5, 20197 yr Popular Post Nothing here! Except for pondering why USPS would send a package from one city to the next and back again TWICE, before finally sending it on south to me . This week, I will be making sure my 2 part epoxy is still good to go before trying to make some pens 🖊, and maybe a bottle stopper or two. It might actually be a busy week for once 😊.

Lots of stuff tore up right now and lots of stuff to do. Not much doing though it seems. Over the weekend I actually got to sit down with SWMBO to work on kitchen layout, birthday party, trip to Lowes and began the install of recessed ceiling lighting in the small room off the kitchen. Seems like no matter how I laid it out, a ceiling joist was in the way. I finally did get it though, cut four holes and found that out of four light kits, one was damaged. Sunday PM was spent planning for storms which we, thankfully, missed. Yesterday I had to take the wife to south GA where her truck had broken down last week. It is her work truck, and I think it has been in the four different shops four times in the last three weeks. The mechanic yesterday told her it was on borrowed time and it should be replaced. Sure enough, last nights report from her was that it towed her trailer to the next county, unhooked, parked and went for supper - after which it wouldn't move out of it's own way... Luckily that small town does have a rental car agency so she will be able to get a car to get home on Friday. Her work told her they were going to replace it, just don't know when yet. Yesterday after I got home I loaded up my truck with C&D stuff to haul to the landfill. Will do this after my dental appt. this morning. I will be half way to the dump and will just take it on down. It has turned pretty cold, got the heat on, so no floors will be taken out this week, but I have plenty of other stuff to keep busy.

March 5, 20197 yr Popular Post That new technology has me baffled. The last trip to the dentist, he removed an old crown, had a super mini camera on a pen and took digital pictures of where the new crown goes. A complete 3D picture came up on the screen. he tweeked it a little, hit send and a 3D printer (2 router heads) started up in the back room and carved out a new crown from a porcelain cube on a little pedestal in 40 minutes. He took it out of the machine washed it off tried it in my mouth, it fit perfectly, he put some bluelight glue on it and in 2-3minutes ,done , I was ready to go. While sneaking out, they grabbed me to pay. Good thing I had dug up 2 cans in the back yard, it took most of it to buy my way out the door. Herb
