Thanks Stick, we may do that. We'll review the situation in the Spring, we really want to do a full tear off though, and start from scratch. I do believe there is lumber underneath that is growing mushrooms.

it it gets cold where your dad is the cold will cause cracks and bond failure in the coating...

the membrane helps to keep the layer of coating in a monolithic ''sheet''...

when the sun warms the coating it rebinds (good word?) to the roof w/o water letting cracks.....

Hey, if you're gonna start from scratch, you might consider Pro Panel or similar.

Hi John, we need an update on how your Dad is faring with his roof repair during the winter weather. Did his repairs hold up?

Herb, the trick was nailing down the cracks and splits so the existing rolled roofing laid flat, dad coated it and all is holding up great!

There are no leaks, he had over a dozen leaks at once the first rain of the season, and now he has no leaks, we have had a ton of rain and all is holding up really good, thanks again all for the great advice, and thanks Herb for the tips on nailing it all down etc.

We are very happy with it all!
