$11.24.

i won't even walk down to my shop for $11.24.  much less spend time making that for $11.24.

You make a couple of dozen and give them for Christmas presents. use up the scrap.

@ your base rate of $300./hr. you would have to make one ever 2 minutes to break even.

nah, i don't charge as much as my lawyer.

but if i'm going to do something to make money, then i want to MAKE money doing it, even after stuffing the gov't coffers full.

i do plenty of work gratis, lately building things for the local pistol ranges, as well as some friends who wanted something little and nice.

but there's no money in making a dozen of those, paying for a table at a craft fare, and hoping to cover your table fee.  it'd be cheaper to hand them out free outside the gate.

You are right about that,Years ago I found that by the time I paid sales tax and my space for the day, I should have just taken the stuff to the Goodwill, or Value Village . That last time I took a load to Value village as I was driving away I saw in the review mirror the guy tossing it all in the dumpster.

Now all my stuff just goes in the garbage, including the scrap wood.

$11.24 and free shipping.  Wonder if it is made in the USA?

Sounds like you're going to be a candidate for bleacher butt.  Been there, done that!

Bleacher butt it is. :o

Those bleachers really get hard.

His team did pretty good. What a way to end the season for them. Of all of the tournaments that they were in up until now they have lost all of their games.

They go to the one Saturday and they win 2 out of 3 games and get second place. Too bad the season is ending they were finally starting to work together and really hustling. They were doing much better.

Well I would have to respectfully disagree. I make more than enough to cover my table fees and I do make money at it. I've been doing it long enough that most of the work that comes to me, comes from people that have seen my work at shows. I enjoy the shows and meeting people. I started with small tools in my shop and everything in my shop including the expansion I did has been paid for from what I make.  I guess it all depends on the area and the market but I'm very happy with what I do and what I make both product and money.
