    A Danged Good Community

Just a good danged community of woodworkers, thank you all for being here. Whenever I come here, my spirit is renewed, I rejoice, I thank God for the trees He provides for the lumber I use, and I thank you all for broadening my view and exposure to the art, trades, and craft that is woodworking. Everyone here is greatly appreciated, I am personally humbled you all see this lil corner of the world known as The Patriot Woodworker, worthy of your time. And each time I leave our community here, I'm ready for the world, and I feel like DANCING! JUST LIKE THIS!
  2. Introduction Welcome to the "What's It" category for member submissions. After several years of having fun with the MWTCA What's It project, we are now asking our members to submit their own items, implements, and tools for us all to help figure out just what the heck it is! We are not closing down our MWTCA project, far from it, but we are opening a category for Patriot Woodworker's to have fun with, and discuss and collaborate over items of mysterious uses and origins. General Guidelines The following submission guidelines are suggestions, and subject to change as we grow this category. For now though please try to use these guidelines when you submit your "What's It". Submit multiple images of the item so folks can see all the parts and views of the item. Try to take a picture of your item with something of scale so viewers know what the approximate size of your item is. You could set a ruler next to your item, your own hand, an orange, an apple, or anything that will show us the size of the item. Most importantly, please examine your item for any markings that may help us in our research of your item, patent dates, names, engravings etc. and if found please take close up clear images of those markings. Ensure images are clear and clean. Thank you for participating in our What's It category for member submissions!

    Everyone OK?

To all our members, friends, and TPW family in California: I hope everyone has been missed by the terrible onslaught of wildfires. Stay safe, stay aware, and maybe leave a post to let us know everyone is all right.
  4. Is there an established (written or otherwise) process for new members to join? I ask only because when I joined I was vouched for by Stick and was immediately accepted into the community (Thank You)!! So if I'm referring this site to others is there a vetting that must be done if they wish to join?
