I have used a 2x4 or other scrap screwed in as a temporary support ledge - really works as an extra hand to set the item on when having to attach something unwieldy. Also having all the screws started is helpful for me as I seem to drop the screw or miss the mark otherwise (especially when trying to rush when dealing with holding up something heavy).X2. I have always used a ledger strip when installing wall cabinets. Tough finding a straight 2x4 though. An alternative is a french cleat.Seeing all your braces reminds me of a friend who worked in a hospital shop. He said they didn't change the router bit, they just changed the routers. Report
August 7Aug 7 Author comment_379765 Sometimes, I simply cheat...Set 2 planks underneath...screws at the top of the case..sawhorse was simply sitting there, in the way, of course. Waiting on proper screws for the Piano hinges on the doors.Meanwhile...something is missing...?Follow the drag marks in the gravel...Ah, there it is...Along with a few other things..Stanley No. 7c was used to plane 2 drawers for a better fit. 1st shavings in the New Woodshop, are sitting down on the "floor". Hung up some small c clamps....and 2 hacksaws.Hung up the Mortise Chisel case, and 2 HUGE drills. Which means this tub is now emptied out. Miter Trimmer is sitting on the sideboard, for now..Also, found these 2..But, I lost their charger long ago. Keyed and keyless chucks....Stay tuned.. Report

Between this and the saw til...A place to hang a few hacksaws...Need to empty out the rest of the tub...and maybe think about a Stand for this..Or, simply adapt it to fit in the end vise like the other grinder...?Stay tuned..
