Looking great so far Paul. Love the contrasting woods. I guess it is true, "you never can have too many clamps."😆

Well, I’m beginning to see the finish line…soon.  I have the curve just about done, still need a bit more sanding. I also have to make the hanger for the guitar.  I also need to do something for the feet that goes under the base.  In the original photo, it shows a black cap(?) on top of the base.  Would look even nice (I think) if it was polished brass.  So that’s where im stuck, looking for something.  Then assembly and the finish.  I think I’m going to use a gloss polyurethane.  I’d use lacquer, but I wouldn’t be able to use my shop until the smell clears out.  Anyhow, doesn’t look like I did much, but here is a couple of photos.

Oh yeah, that is going to be absolutely gorgeous. Very nice work, @Pauley.

Now I'm wanting to build something like that.

Still got a guitar to finish, but I think I might start looking at different designs and see if I can come up with something in the future.

This guitar is almost finished, and I stopped in the middle of an electric build to do so,  so I'll be moving to that while the lacquer on the current project is curing, so it'll be a while.

I can't wait  to see this finished.

Gonna' be classy eye candy when finished Paul.

Well, here it is all done with for coats of gloss polyurethane, and a lot of sanding.  It stands about 41 inches tall, made from walnut with yellow heart accents, and brass feet. I’m pretty happy with it.  As a side note, my granddaughter graduated from nursing school and we had a little graduation party here for her.  Once people seen the guitar, they all wanted me to play and sing for them…want to lknow how that went…it didn’t.  Ha ha ha.  Hope you guys like it.

Beautifully done Pauley.

Absolutely magnificent work, @Pauley! Love the way you tied the guitar to the stand with the light colored trim pieces on both.

Thank you very much, Lew.  It was a fun build.

Oh, wow, Pauley. Fantastic!

Beautiful work!  How stable is it?  Building a guitar stand has been on my bucket list for quite some time (I built an acoustic guitar but not a stand... 😆).
