Friday April 19th, 2024-What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

Friday again folks! :D

Here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" we're playing the try to dry out game after 10 of the past 18 days had rain. :Tapping:

I won't complain too much because we didn't have to shovel it. ;)

Not sure what outside things I might get done, it's pretty soggy out there. <_<

What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

I've only got two items on my agenda so far, putter around the shop, and enjoy our late spring weather.

Looking into next week will be yard work and a dental appointment or two, so yeah - I will revel in a bit of down time to myself this weekend.

Stocking the pond with minnows tomorrow (fairly long drive to get them) and I need to spray the yard with weed killer (2,4-D...which the USDA says won't harm bees). Otherwise I'll join Cal in the puttering efforts in my shop.

How about baking a few mudpies? ;)

Prepping materials for a turning club demo. Supposed to get nicer, but cooler, so maybe finish the mowing.

Hamburger meat on sale at grocery first up. Gotta keep the stocks up so I get my burger three times a week and she has something to make dishes with, Getting stuff loaded up for woodturners club meeting and picnic tomorrow. Looks like storms tomorrow but we will be inside. Maybe we get done before it all hits.

Been providing "Uber" service for Mrs. 2x/day since Wednesday. Her Jeep bit the dust on the way home Tuesday from soccer match. Total electrical failure; had to use a jump pack to get power to get into tow mode to load on the flatbed. Repair service said the alternator failed and cooked the battery but the battery shows it was a 2017. Battery is huge and under the passenger side front seat...expensive too but a remanufatured alternator is more expensive. They had to order the alternator. Hopefully it will be done today?? This Uber service is hindering my "free" time:rolleyes:

Ran errands this morning. For the record, I DESPISE Walmart. More mowing to do but after last nights storm, that's out for today. Plenty of sticks to retrieve again though. Perhaps some other outside work. Men's breakfast tomorrow AM, then grandson's soccer match. Church responsibilities Sunday.

The original price tag?   $1.53?    It is 2-3/8" wide....hmmmmm, only paid $12 for it....inflation?

That's cool @steven newman. Probably still under warranty with the original tag.;)

:ChinScratch: Had to do a clean install of W11, apparently MS is no longer allowing free upgrades from W10 systems that were upgraded from W7. :(

Not a problem, there wasn't much to save anyways. That computer was only ran for a few months.

:ChinScratch: For some reason SWMBO is confused.

This W11 Pro looks different from the upgraded from W10 Pro on the PC that "the cat" shut down.

@lew

Just talked to cousin and asked him where he's getting his parts.

He's getting most of them directly from the manufacturers.

Says he buys in enough quantity they give him a great discount. ;)

BTW he said to bring the PC the cat took out with the next time I come up.

Thinks he knows how to bring it back, but trying to explain it to me over the phone would be a bit hard.
