Until two days ago I couldn’t have spelled it. Had to use auto correct. Kind of a fancy name for a hunk of wood but I guess it sounds better. Hi here’s your hunk of wood for Christmas or Hi here’s your charcuterie board.

So first coat is on. I had a real shocker this morning. I went to get the matte cut for the poster and they quoted me almost $200. That’s insane. So I decided to make my own out of maple and then pain

I was out a gathering of retired teachers from my school. The lady who hosted the event was the Cosmetology teacher. One of her students makes wooden art and on the buffet table was one of the Charcuterie board she made. It was similar to this one only longer. That young lady does remarkable work!

Charcuterie board number two done. I took Dave’s advice and added a little inlay to this one to dress it up.

Excellent Paul. Better not let the Mrs. see that one or you'll be short another.

The two knife sets are completed. The outsides will need a couple of more coats and then put the knives in and deliver. Next it’s a bowl. I’m feeling the need to do some turning. I have some chunks of Wenge which I am going to try to make a bowl out of.

One more charcuterie board. This time I added initials of the receipt and used Wenge instead of zebra wood.

Just curious, Paul, but what type of router bit do you use for the inlays that give you the really pointed end?

I take it down through the sizes 1/4-1/8-1/16-1/32-1/64.

Nice inlay on the handle, Paul.

Ok there is an inherent problem with having neighbors that are really good friends and all talk to each other. One neighbor came over and spent some time in the shop. Next thing I know the word is out. We are all getting cutting boards for Christmas 🤨 I actually had not planned on making that many. Oh well. So yesterday and today was making up three more in a hurry.

Ok ! Last one done. How do I know that ? Well there aren’t any more neighbors !! What a good use for the scraps but I would never want to make those for a living. Best to have happy neighbors though 😎

Very nice Paul. Love the inlayed personalized embellishments.

The neighbors ought to be happy, for sure!
