November 16, 20232 yr Popular Post so i'm scrolling thru youtube videos, come across one from a shooting range in Trinidad and Tobago (sounds like a nice place, never been there), and they show a pistol match going on, with shooters shooting thru various ports in a large, rectangular barricade, with various size ports at different heights......hey....that's a neat idea. finally track down the folks who ran the match, ask about the barricade (thinking it might be a commercially produced item), and find out that it was a one off project done by an old member who has passed away. oh. so all i have to go on is the picture i pulled off the video. get to talking with the guy who runs our 3 gun matches, he likes the idea, but since the barricade seen is a one off, i'll take that as license to make my own design. sketch a bit, come up with a barricade with 15 different ports at all sorts of heights, my design can be oriented with any edge as UP, so it mixes up the location of the ports. he likes that idea a lot, so now i have something to work in in the shop in the coming weeks. just need one sheet of 1/2" plywood, a few basic tools, and we'll have a new prop to use for matches. pictures when i get something done to show.

I had a father in law who used to pull out 15-20 year old Easter candy from the deep freeze . . . after every Thanksgiving meal (I was never there for Easter). He was an interesting guy. Life was an old-west diorama for him.

Now an even 35" and standing next to my fridge. I know the "Amazing" emoticons are because you're amazed I got it at exactly 2.0 pounds. It's actually 1.997 pounds on the digital kitchen scale.
