July 22, 20232 yr Popular Post I will be rebuilding one of the side tables I just finished Was asking wife she wanted the legs mounted. Asked her to me hold them. She stepped back and let go of her leg and it slipped out of my hand. It landed on one of the corners bounced at an angle one leg under and the other on top. One of the panels snapped and the cracked. Glue lines held. Argh! So did glue up tonight. Also CNC’d 15 guitar catch trays that will be donated to Songbird foundation that donates guitars to inner city schools. So…lol
July 22, 20232 yr Popular Post Pictures of the Rust Hunt? $3 for these 2 items, and Dollar each for these 2...and $10 for the No. 410c ( more on this later) And, finally.. Bought this Cardboard box...why? Once I got all the various charts out of the way.. And sorted out the "Made in Italy" tools....Might just have been worth the $5?
July 22, 20232 yr Popular Post @steven newman...those Channellock pliers in the first picture are the "cats meow." I've had a pair of those for probably close to 50 years from way back in my wrench pulling days. Mine were before yours since they preceded the blue hand grip models. The tighter you squeeze, the more they grip. I still use mine often. In fact, used them a couple times this past week. Great score on those as well as all the other "treasures."
July 22, 20232 yr Popular Post <>Past week, finally got around to replacing my service entrance 5e internet and landline cable. Not a difficult job, just time consuming. Big difference in speed and reliability during peak hours. <>Weather allowed to finally burn the big brush pile; been at least 2 years. <>Reprogrammed granddaughters HVAC controller on her car; blend air doors were acting whacky; <>got all updates downloaded and installed on my new OBDIi scan tool purchased during PrimeDays. More features and diagnostics than I'm smart enough to use. Should be good for awhile, after updates, said update agreement expires 10/20/2856 Out early this morning. Granddaughter, me and the SW 9mm hole shooter went on a field trip to MUDLAVIA. it's about a 35 minute drive NW of us in the middle of nowhere. Our purpose was to fill several containers with the spring water. We used to do that quite often in years past. The public access tap is (was) monitored by IDEM. Sadly, the valve has been shut off and the fill hose removed. Maybe during the pandemic, IDK??. There remains a fill station about an 1/8 mile up the road, but it's a pay site where tanker trucks load to disperse to various Spring Water distribution companies. So, nice road trip, but wasted time. More about Mudlavia HERE. Came home, loaded up (3) 5g, (2) 2-1/2g gas containers, 2 mile trip to town, $99.52 later they were filled and Buick tank topped off. Spent the rest of the afternoon mowing, mowing, mowing; ~44.987654321% done...probably can just round up to 44.99%? Saturday, finish the remaining 55.01% mowing. Sunday, church responsibilities. Any free time will be closely monitored by the Mrs.

July 22, 20232 yr Popular Post We went to that movie. The Sounds of Freedom. Excellent movie. Very intense. Highly recommend it. After the movie, we grabbed a burger at a place called Chili's. A local favorite. Dunno if they're a national chain. Got home in time for a nap. Phyl is making good progress in her recovery. Some light headedness and, tiredness but, she soldiers on. It's hard to keep her down. She does nap frequently, though. Today, I'll finish the sanding on the Nativity scene puzzle. Might get a first coat of Watco on it. Next up are some Christmas gifts from the scroll saw. As slow as I am, it's not any too early. .

July 24, 20232 yr Popular Post Walked another (to me) marathon today, or at least it seems like one! A little over 6 Km. Starting to get used to this... hope it doesn't become a habit. My reward? Hey, it's nice to be recognized for something I'm good at!
