Popular Post Steve Krumanaker Posted March 9, 2023 Popular Post Report Posted March 9, 2023 Finished them up today. Took longer than I thought they would. Wife and I had a nasty bug last week. Worst cough I can remember having for a while. Doc said, "just something that's going around". Crazy. Anyway, I'm happy with these. Guy hasn't seen them yet so I hope he is too. lew, Cal, forty_caliber and 2 others 4 1 Quote
HandyDan Posted March 9, 2023 Report Posted March 9, 2023 Look great. Can't tell that they weren't CNC machined. Steve Krumanaker, Larry Buskirk, Cal and 1 other 4 Quote

Cal Posted March 10, 2023 Report Posted March 10, 2023 Really nice Steve, what is the wood? And do they have a finish on them? Quote

Cal, it is osage orange and it's very aptly named. Very hard and very dense and a very orange wood but it is a dream to turn. The handles don't have finish on them at this point. I actually prefer not to put finish on my tools handles as I don't want them slick and the oil from handling them will provide a natural finish. Cal and lew 1 1 Quote
Gerald Posted March 11, 2023 Report Posted March 11, 2023 Those are fantastic. Bet you were glad you didn't have to mount the blades. I love the Bo Doc too and just got another piece at last meeting Cal and lew 2 Quote
