November 4, 20223 yr Popular Post Friday again ... Must have misplaced a couple of days somewhere. Here "Two Weeks From Anywhere" I've been helping the neighbor do a little "Body Work" on his 05 Express van, and had to get the repairs in primer due to incoming this morning that are forecast to last through most of today. Finished up the "Bondo Work" last night just before dark, so just needed to get the repairs sealed up. First photo is the repair in primer to the passengers side shown in Mondays topic. There was also a rust repair done on the drivers side due to what Bruce thought was just a pinhole, but turned out to be about 6" X 18" after cutting back to solid metal. With the weather forecast to be possible "Severe" for pretty much the rest of today, into sometime tomorrow I may just decide I'll be So, What's on Your Weekend Agenda?
November 4, 20223 yr Popular Post Chester Draws has been moved upstairs.....and is now filling up....
November 4, 20223 yr Popular Post The shop crane project has stalled. The electric hoist was defective out of the box. The crane arrived with all of the structural members but none of the bolts or pins needed to assemble. Returned the hoist for a refund and ordered a different brand. Liked the new hoist better anyway but didn't want to fork over the extra $20. Replacement hardware kit for the crane has been ordered. Hopefully some results in a week or two. Severe weather predicted here for today and tomorrow. Will get some shop time in if we don't lose power again. .40

November 4, 20223 yr Popular Post Working on Phase 2, 3, & 4 console + lid and support repair on Trailblazer. GM's use of thin, non reinforced ABS calls for creativity and turned a 30 minute job into a few hours. I picked up a few parts from boneyard a few weeks back. Found several surprises during disassembly. Thank goodness for J-B Plastic Weld epoxy. Wind and weather forecast today through Sunday will keep me in the garage. LOTS of small projects to choose from. SIL asked me to attend an area gun show tomorrow. I do need a couple of holsters. Maybe a few extra magazines. We'll see. Lots of walking and standing. Church responsibilities Sunday. Afternoon visit with my step-father at rehab facility. Whatever all y'all will be doing, be safe and take extra time. Good news is the gooberment is giving us an extra hour back to use this weekend; well everyone except @Gene Howeand @knockonit

November 5, 20223 yr Popular Post Well, the False Weather Forecast was calling for high wind and rain today. So I did not plan any yard/garden activities, and they were half right (wind). And in the shop, I'm waiting for the new planer to arrive. So I went to the local equipment dealer for their program on table saws. The instructor knew me so he kept asking me questions about what equipment I had and used. About 20 minutes in, he said he'd give me a saw blade to see how I liked it. He handed me a $100 Tenryu blade. Woot! Worth my trip there. He said they're as good as Forrest about $60 less.
November 6, 20223 yr Popular Post Been kinda busy today. She had some severe pain yesterday which we think was from the anesthesia . So she stayed in hospital last night. Dreamed she was beside me when I was waking this morning . Brought her home this morning with both of us tired . She decides Ginger Ale was the thing for her nausea so made grocery trip. She is doing better pain wise and moving better. Will not know lab results till she has dr appt. Thanks to all for prayers and concerns.
