I've not heard of that stuff. Too bad, none within 50 miles of me. You weren't kidding about it being expensive.

  • The sample chair was painted. Not a pretty site. I could save a lot of nice Sapele using treated if I was to paint, but then it would just be just any other chair..

I don’t know if pressure washing will bring the color back:or not? Guess we will find out in the  spring..

Try teak oil. That is if that is teak.

Sapele

Pressure washing is hard on the wood.  Doubt that it would bring back the color.  Might spray some hydrogen peroxide on the moldy bits.  Bleach works too.  I read where bleach has a shelf life and found that it's true.

Depends on distance and tip.

Im not actually concerned about tye color as getting the mildew off them..

Peroxide goes deeper than the bleach and keeps the mold away longer.  Take straight bleach in your garden sprayer and spray the concrete and then just walk away no scrubbing pr pressure wash required.  In a few weeks you will be amazed.

Thanks for the picture!

I used to have one of those PC Dovetail devices. Started doing all the dovetails by hand. Took me almost the same amount of time as it did to setup the PC jig.

I won’t part with the PC Omnijig. I had both the Leigh and the Omnijig, but as I’m more a production woodworker the Omnijig won and I sold the Leigh. I wish I had just kept both…

I'm not sure how fast you work, but I have  a dedicated router that has been setup since I bout it in 2000. Im pretty quick.

I got an Omnijig from estate sale and it is built like a tank. I found a video on YouTube that tells all you need. The one thing I wish I had is the dovetail template for this one. Tried to find it and finally gave up on it,

I’ve searched for many of the jigs. At one point I almost decided to buy a used jig on eBay with the jigs, but didn’t like the shipping..

I might lucjk out and find one local..

Because mine was just getting banged up or moved all the time , I mounted it on the back of my router table…

I only have 2 routers. One plunge and one permanently mounted in my router table. I'm not a very fast worker and don't do production work. Our bathroom vanity drawers.

Many can’t do production work. You know how many jobs in Kansas City came up for furniture makers? Zero… in 2010 a job showed up on Craigslist, Seeking qualified furniture maker for Kansas City. I applied along with many in KC. I actually missed the first interview cause I couldn’t find the location. Second day I found it and after an hour of interview and showing picture the plant manager said I had the job.

Production work and quality work are the same. Production workers just do it faster and payed too..

There are interior decorators..

Here is how I sold myself..

Most people can’t sell themself. They either  are too slow and demand too much money or are qualified and won’t give up their great paying job to find out..

Yes I’ve worked in production as a cabinet maker, commercial cabinet maker and at the end a furniture. I’m here for the hobby woodworker. I owned and operated my own shop for 2 years…

let’s don’t pull that production card…

No insult intended.

I have been and will always be a hobbyist woodworker. My working background is in education/electronics/computers. Woodworking is to be fun and relaxing. No need for me to rush.

There have been problems on other forums. Some with very educational backgrounds that feel they are smarter than  you no matter what. They take up woodworking and have decided to be the smartest woodworker on there because they were successful in their previous job.

Don't talk about it, show me. I’m in Missouri…The show me state..
