The desert releases the delightful odor of petrichor at this time.  It rained two subsequent evenings, overnight or early morning.  By the third, with the soil dampened and less geosmin produced, the odor was not as prevalent.

Sunny yesterday but stayed in the 20s.  Warmer today but cloudy as the rain returns this afternoon.  Upper 30s should be attained.

I believe you've discovered the initial plot idea for the Groundhog Day movie. Repeating the day over and over again until finally the groundhog made a different choice......        Then Bill Murray was hired and the plot line changed to make it a rom-com.

This is all a bit confusing. Phil says six more weeks of winter. Our Wiarton Willie says we're getting an early spring. Heck, around here, six more weeks of winter IS an early spring!!!!

Not sure if it is still winter, but it hit 64° today.  Now 57° and mostly cloudy. On the way down to an overnight low of 34° before climbing back up to the high 50s tomorrow. Humidity 47%.  No perceptible wind.  Black cat took a long afternoon nap on my upper deck chair. I may have dozed off once or twice while watching youtube videos.

We are at 39° this morning, and might be in the mid 50s later. Sunny (at least mostly sunny) as well. But htis might be pick of the week, rain moves in tomorrow for a couple of days apparently.

Finally reached 48° yesterday but the promised sunshine was far and few. Of course we had our daily dose of 20 mph wind

 

6:27A, EDT; it's actually warmed up a few degrees overnight. We're showing 44°, RF 41° now. SSW wind gusting to 16 mph;  High of 61° predicted; back to winter reality starting tonight with low of 29°.

Should reach 56° today and see some of the sun.  Mostly cloudy but not much chance of rain.  Back to the 30s tomorrow and Wednesday with no precipitation anticipated.

36° feeling like 12°. Down from the high of 49° today. Mostly sunny.  Humidity at 73%.  Pretty good wind from the south west up to 16mph.  Low tonight should bottom out at 23° before barely making it back up to 36° tomorrow. A chance of snow/rain has shown up for Wednesday mid day.  Thursday and Friday back to the 40s for highs.

We got up to 59° yesterday, and even with the wind it felt pretty good outside. But that's over with now, this morning we're at 34° and it doesn't move much from there today. Cloudy as well, but the rain has been cancelled for today and moved to late tomorrow. The problem is it's coming in the most dreaded form of winter weather: freezing rain. That will last into Thursday when it's supposed to warm up and melt the ice. Not much expected, but with ice it doesn't take much to be a big headache.
