slight change of plans.  she also wants to paint all her cabinet doors, so we are painting doors first, then punching metal later.....whatever.  sage green paint.  not my choice, but they aren't my cabinets.

Good on you Dab. Handles & knobs next with child proof zip locks next.

  • got the back portion of the dado routed off, sheet metal cut to size.   just your standard dado and tenon joint.

Most excellent DAB. A lot of holes. Best guess, how much time per panel? Already decided it takes a lot of patience besides hand, eye coordination.

Took her about 10 min for each design.

That was 10 minutes well spent. Great looking panels.

Got a question. Some of your designs aren't punched through. How is that done? Same metal?

Drawn freehand, and spacing done by eye?  Color me impressed DAB! :Praise:

The awl makes a hole in the metal. The harder you hit, the bigger the hole.

the neighbor did the designs and punching. She’s very talented.

Will you glue them in to keep them quiet?  Expansion shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks Dab but, I was referring to the designs on your bed's head board.

Thanks. Had me fooled. Enlarged the pic. It's obvious now. Guess I need new glasses.

actually, the designs and the punching were all done by the neighbor lady.  gave her some guidance, and let her rip.  worst case, if she messed them all up, i need to get another sheet of metal for $13.

the order on the doors will be:  chili, Zia, cactus, and vase.  per her direction.
