September 21, 20214 yr Popular Post I agree it was a MONDAY!!! One good thing is I found a shovel for 5 to replace the one I broke digging a root. Went to deliver a Keurig we have been trying to get out of here . Got there too early so killed some time at Bass Pro. Went to Sam's then back to deliver and she was not there....my day.....Got back home and had text from the buyer. I relented and asked for gas money to go back and she agreed, SOLD Whoopee. Finally back to the shop just unpacked from the weekend a little.
September 21, 20214 yr Popular Post I got to wake up, home, in my own bed! No alcohol for next couple of weeks (not really a hardship these days), and I can eat whatever I want, and as much as I want, as long as it’s relatively low fat. See gastroentologist doctor on Wednesday. Gotta replace washing machine tomorrow cause it crapped out while I was in hospital. i did learn one thing after 36 hours with NO food or water, you wanna get me to cave and give you any info I have? Lock me in a room for 2 days with no food or water, I’ll tell you whatever you wanna know for a cracker, and a sip of water.
September 21, 20214 yr Artie, not laughing at your trials, but the confession you made at the end. I sympathize with your experience. Wife just had colonoscopy last week. It is the last one she'll ever have according to the doctor. I guess at this age, there is no longer a need. But, the prep work and all that goes with it is not a joyable task. All because Cologuard found a positive for something.

Gotta have desert.
September 21, 20214 yr Popular Post Been wanting to make a couple small tables for different purposes. Got one done and the other mostly done. Took these pictures with my phone. First time. Camera does a better job.

September 21, 20214 yr Popular Post Artie, glad you survived the fast. BTDT with a bout of diverticulitis. Not fun! Hope the gastrinterologist has good news for you. Neat little tables, Dan. What's the wood? Maple? Those pics are fine. I Can't get good pics with our phone. That curly cord is too short. Got a final mowing in yesterday before our two week hiatus for a mini reunion. We leave Thursday for OK. The Automatic irrigation seems to be set and adjusted well enough to leave it for awhile. More organizing done in the shop. Down to separating the smalls as to function. That particular job may be ongoing, as it can be accomplished piecemeal. After we get home from OK, assembling the Frankensmith is on the agenda. Then replacing some helix cutters on the planer. Doing some work with something other than scrap 2 bys, plywood remnants and pallet wood will be welcome! It's been over a year since the smell of cut walnut has wafted past my nose. Plus, it'll be a joy to work with something that doesn't require screw and nail removal.
September 21, 20214 yr Popular Post Customer informed me he did NOT need spark plugs. Yeah, about that. Correct gap is .045 or half of what is pictured. His wife told him quit being a pain. Truck runs much better with new plugs and wires.

I have some cabinet door I saved years ago I cut up to make things with. The top is a Black Walnut veneered top scavenged from a discarded sewing machine cabinet. So therefore none of the new growth, expensive lumber producing trees, were harmed for this build.

September 22, 20214 yr Popular Post Spent the morning yesterday with my Dad having a VA provided Reese hitch & a lift for his scooter. His knees are pretty well worn after 94 years but his get up and go is still holding at 43 years.
