A bit late, but I used a 1/4" extension through the front gear holes jammed against one of the bolts for the seal cover, and a 15mm socket through the holes in the rear gear. Used a paint can opener to remove the seals. Had to get a bit creative with driving the seal in for the rear cam, made up sort of a press using the cam bolt, the old seals, and a couple of big washers. As you know, no room to swing a hammer in there. Otherwise used a PVC coupling that just happened to be the right size. The cam bolts are 17mm. On another note that 17mm motor mount bolt stripped out the aluminum bracket, I had a ball getting it out!

May 2, 20215 yr Popular Post Just got back from neighbors friends house. He has put a timing belt on his 2000 Toyota Camry 4 times and it still didn't run. Been at it 2 weeks. Showed me all the marks and such. Looked down and confirmed they are indeed correct and then asked...... When do you plan on plugging in the crankshaft sensor? What does that do?? Is it important? Yeah, glad neighbor brought beer I needed a drink after that. My eyebrow is stuck upwards like Mr. Spock.
