Gerald, you don't know how close that is to the truth, I make the money, she spends it, and runs our home bank like a well oiled machine. There's a running joke in the house right now too, she wasn't

There's a running joke in the house right now too, she wasn't really that sick, she feigned it to get a ride to the hospital to get better food! She got tired of my cooking while she was held up in our bedroom quarantined!

What's your hurry? :WonderScratch:

Thought I’d better get to it. The way building materials are climbing in price, I want to get it done before I need to take out a second mortgage.

Guess there will be no building steps this weekend was told "I don't need one".  So now I've got 6 foot of 1/2 inch poplar sitting in the back of my car LOL.  I'll figure out something to do with it in the long run but plenty of material.

The tin can wannabe shop is 99% ready for insulation. Need to do some on site testing of alternate adhesives as it looks like the 3M 90 is a no go. Can't get it in time.

On Sunday, we're hosting a grillin' and chillin' for about 30 friends, family and neighbors. From now till party time, It'll be a$$ holes and elbows with Phyl, prepping for it. Monday will be clean up and repair time.

I hope you have a great time.

The same way ammo is getting hard to find.

Guess the price of plywood has really soared. One sheet of 4' X 8' X 3/4" oak ply cost $103.46 including the MA 6 1/4% tax.

The Lowes in my area has 3/4 x 4 x 8 maple ply for $58.98, before military discount.  It says made in USA.  The 1/4" is pretty reasonable too.

I told you the good tool for that job was not to be had at autodump.:BangingHead:

Honda tool from Honda.  $200

 ... I've got the tool that you sent a photo of in a PM. AutoZone does them through their loaner tool program. ;)

The problem was that "Mr. Impact Wrench Charlie" tightened the bolt with an "Impact Wrench" <_<

He must have had a much bigger air compressor than I because the impact wrench with 950 ft/lbs of torque wouldn't budge it either! :Tapping:

:ChinScratch: ... So, back to the two 1/2" breaker bars, and a few blocks of wood to stabilize the 19mm socket with 2 1', & a 6" extension with a 6' length of pipe. Turned the bent breaker bar around put the 6' length of pipe on it, and almost straightened the bend out of it when suddenly POP! :BitingNails:Wasn't sure if the breaker bar broke, or if the bolt finally let loose. :WonderScratch:

The bolt had let loose!

Now I have to hope "Impact Charlie" didn't tighten the cam gear bolts.

You are a braver man than I taking on that job.

 Brave? :WhoMe:I'm a retired Auto Worker, probably installed 100K+ of these on the Chrysler 3.5L engines.

Not quite as easy, but I'm probably saving close to $1K in labor costs. Got the complete OEM Honda kit for $125.00 vs $203.99 at AutoZone for an after market kit. Called around, and was quoted $12-1500.00 for the job.

Demo dumpster left yesterday with what was a 9'x8' kitchen & a 4'x8' enclosed porch, including 16 bags of wall & ceiling plaster, neatly packed into 10yards of a 13 yard bin. We'll let that cool this weekend and start new framing next week.

Grass really liked the rain this past week so I'll play out there today.

Get a 18 inch chain wrench to wrap around cam gear.  I believe it is a 17mm bolt for cam bolt.

Finished setup steps and everything seems to be on the square.  Did a few test cuts on an old piece of scrap oak just to try things out.  No sanding has been done.  Cuts shown are straight from the machine with little or no tool marks.

I'd say it's really excellent, well done!

Just getting home from LONG day.  Went to work till noon, then drove 65 miles North to Funeral for wife of the Shop Forman.  He looked exhausted and for him the entire process is just getting started with the service.  Then came back home to opposite side of town through traffic.  Taking a short break to get my 2 nd wind and then back out to shop.
