Friday April 30th 2021-What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

Friday again folks! :D

Wow that was a fast month! <_<

Here in the land of "Two Weeks From Anywhere" it's been pretty busy.

Between "Curb Shopping", working on the yard, and checking over the new to us 2006 Honda Pilot I've been rather busy.

Today I'll be tackling doing the timing belt kit which includes new camshaft, & crankshaft seals, water pump, and associated timing belt hardware.

I got the maintenance records from the dealer, and the last time the timing belt, etc. was done was 141K miles ago. :BitingNails:

Honda recommends replacement every 100K miles. <_<

:ChinScratch: ... So that's my weekend agenda, what's yours?

Gerald, you don't know how close that is to the truth, I make the money, she spends it, and runs our home bank like a well oiled machine. There's a running joke in the house right now too, she wasn't

Sounds like you'll be busy for a while. For me, it's back to some yard stuff. Not much in the shop.

High wind warning for our area today. Probably be chasing garbage cans, lawn furniture and the dog all over the neighborhood.

Have to measure the ceiling of the front porch and the carport. Going to finally put up vinyl ceiling so I don't have to paint it any more- it only has taken 53 years.

:ChinScratch: ... Sounds like your working on my time schedule Lew, but I don't think vinyl siding/soffit has been around quite that long.

OOOOOOOOOOOOF Friday going to be a busy one.  I have to run over pay the rent, run to home depot get some poplar board cut, plan out a two step stepping stool for my parents (EVEN THOUGH they said they don't need it)  Knowing what will happen I'll get a last minute call saying can you make a step please.  Not only that finishing off my step dads bday gift.  So hopefully I should be able to get that all done this weekend.  Some general wood working this time instead of turning that will be a change up.

Me Missus is getting her second shot today. Last Sunday night/Monday morning we had to have our cat put to sleep. House has seemed SO empty this week. When Lisa posted about Sammy on our small town’s facebook page, a woman contacted us. She told us she is moving in with her daughter, and can’t bring her cat with her. So we are hoping to pick up Scamp sometime this weekend. :)

That's probably why he took so long, waiting for it to hit the market!

The tin can wannabe shop is 99% ready for insulation. Need to do some on site testing of alternate adhesives as it looks like the 3M 90 is a no go. Can't get it in time.

On Sunday, we're hosting a grillin' and chillin' for about 30 friends, family and neighbors. From now till party time, It'll be a$$ holes and elbows with Phyl, prepping for it. Monday will be clean up and repair time.

:ChinScratch: ... It would appear that the last guy that did the timing belt kit must have been named "Impact Wrench Charlie"

:o ... What are those two things rolling around on the ground? :JawDrop::CoveringEyes:

:ChinScratch: ... Guess I'll have to go get an impact wrench, 1/2" breaker bars just ain't gonna get that damper bolt loose. :(

... Bent one, and think I might have stripped a gear. :Punched:

That gear you stripped on the wrench , car or yourself. :BugEyeSmiley: You are a braver man than I taking on that job.

@Gunny That is one nice piece you have going . I know your Dad would have been proud of it.

Working today , yes for money. Been calling MS Ag Museum to get permission to install some hardware to get WiFi into the historic building our turning club meets in. Have you ever tried to get something done thru a govmt agency?  Been trying to get my turning store stocked up again. Kinda been out of turning since before Christmas.

What's your hurry? :WonderScratch:

Tried to do a bit more in the yard, but the hurricane raging out there makes that darn near impossible!
