July 10, 20206 yr Popular Post Depends on how I feel, tomorrow.....may start making a bit of sawdust....we'll see...
July 10, 20206 yr Popular Post Keith, you should write that up and send to Sawstop for an ad. You may get to be a celebrity. Glad it was not a Shopsmith as it would have kept on chewing. But, in all seriousness, I hope you heal completely and quickly. Well wishes to you. On tasty water, we used to us charcoal for filtering water. It removed that chlorine taste and smell. Billy Carter and I learned at the same time to drink water straight. Do continue drinking water. It is much too easy for us with higher mileage to get dehydrated. In the old Navy, we had salt pills in certain sections of the ships and buildings. It would cause you to drink, but it is not good for our bodies. It would also make you sweat. Please be careful out there everyone. We don't need to loose anyone or the knowledge you have. We need you here.
July 10, 20206 yr Popular Post We use well water. Comes from a great aquifer 450' down. Plenty of water but, full of iron and hard as he!!. We use a water conditioner and, for drinking, a reverse osmosis system. Not sure if that does any good. Seems to taste the same. But, it's good tasting, either way. I'll usually drink around a gallon, or so, during the day. Wife prefers iced tea. Her consumption is about the same as mine.

July 11, 20206 yr Popular Post May have a case of Strep, going on. Mark a line.. Deepen line with a saw... Then use a Skewed reabate plane for a bit... Make a big mess on the shop's floor...again... To make a 1/2" x 1/2" rebate... Figured I could then sharpen the iron.. 30 degree flat bevel....wedge was made to match by Auburn Tool Co. of Auburn, New York, USA And gave it another test drive.. Not sure I'll close up that gap, but I can flatten the sole a bit better. As the toe is a bit higher than the rest of the sole....area right in front of the iron is also rounded over a bit.... Right about where my thumb is.... Maybe tomorrow, I can run a jack plane along the sole, and get things flat. We'll see...
July 11, 20206 yr Popular Post Some dummy decided to run the tablesaw for a bit.....all but 2 Ash pieces of scrap have been ripped to width....then ripped to 3/8" thickness...except..I was about 3/4" short of cutting all the way through.....Will change the blade on the bandsaw, later, and finish the resaw... Single Brain Cell Sketch Up is now working on the details....I'm having a Lager, and kicking back....
July 12, 20206 yr Steven, if I may be so bold, I would also check your temp. This sounds familiar to Coronavirus. I hope not, but with that symptom, I would be on high alert.
