No issue with the rivets.  They are in the center and the belt should never sink that low in the pulleys.

  • I've never used a link belt.  A good quality belt has always run fine for me.  I've seen verdicts both ways.    

  • I put a link belt on my Jet TS when I bought the saw, along with balanced pulleys. I've never looked back. The saw runs perfectly smooth with no vibration at all.

  • The bases I sent went to these two saws. I made a custom one for this set up.  Made in America.

the rivets will not be an issue. I use 1000's of feet of this stuff 

in the textile world. It's just the best. I hate the twist lock stuff...
