John - Your display is beautiful as is your artistry with wood!

Makes me think I don't belong here.

Thank you for the kind thoughts.  I got a start on a project today.  Progress is slow but steady.

John, you have made some serious sawdust.  Excellent display and I read a follow up that you have made a great sale.  Wonderful.

Gerald, you also have a super display and I love all the stuff you have turned.  I am green with envy.

Bondoman, it's good to hear of your progress.  Looking forward to pics of future projects.

Gene, I love that walnut.  Again, I am green.

Steve, I hope all works out with the heart cath.  Been there and was told all ok.  Later, had and MRI on heart and found a blockage.  Don't know if it was the technology or the doctor.  Anyway, he got fired.

I am building a couple of floating shelves, again, for the same neighbor.  Will have a separate thread or maybe revive the old one and just show how to build.  After reading all this, it's time for a nap.  :OldManSmiley:

@Gene Howe got a line on some walnut but I do not think it will be as good as your deal. However only 50 miles away.

Gerald, wow, some beautiful turnings. I love all of it.

Hey John it may be a great feeling going home with no product tomorrow but that means much work to get ready for the next show. WOW.

Thanks for the comment. This is the first time for this display. A neighbor replaced a fence and saw how good these cedar top planks were and called me. Fun huh? Oh another member built the display after me came up with the plan.

picture frame with one coat of poly.  refinishing some door stops too.

@DAB I like how the center area is recessed, is this your profile design & is this a two piece profile?

designed from scratch, did one previously in oak, stained dark, wife wanted a lighter frame this time, so plain maple.

1-1/2" deep, all done on the router table and table saw.  single piece of wood, so a stepped cut.  frame is about 2-1/2 wide.  double thickness of 3/4" thick stock glued up.

if you look carefully, i messed up the bead at lower left.  doh.  didn't notice it until it was too late.  now we'll call it a design feature.  sigh.

Nice idea. Never noticed the "doh" till you mention it.

I'm alllll ways late not matter what or when but I did start the finishing process on this thing.IMG_20191125_154055146.jpg.a5b6d7916e828a306e7462c68f5d0c13.jpg

 Its another experiment in finishing
