The older ones are pretty cheap in my area. I picked up my first one for $35.00, and the second for $40.00.

The 900, Super 900, and the 990 can be changed over to 10" by simply using the 10" blade guard.

Believe it or not they can also be used like a Tool Surface Grinder in a pinch. 

I love the RAS, someday will be looking into getting one for my shop. I learned woodworking on my Dad's HomeCraft, we ripped, miter, crosscut, dado, molded, all of it on that 8" HomeCraft.

I appreciate that Larry, reality is there plenty here in my area from Craigslist, ARN, when I'm ready I'll be lookin, but I really do appreciate your offer! But I think you are correct, the shipping would be killer.

...We might have to put "Old Reliable" into "Rucker" service!

...They won't let me use it because I hid "Old Reliable" when they wanted to trade it in. 

 

No RAS in my shop. Got rid of it before it had a chance to kill me.

Had an RAS. Also had a Plymouth Barracuda. Sold them both for the same reason, @Al B.

Boy, I'll bet you guys would love my "LITTLE" chainsaw then. (93Lbs 8.3 HP with a 59" bar.) 

About like hanging onto a running outboard motor without the boat!

@Larry Buskirk, it was a blue '69 coupe with the 318 engine. Sold it a year after I bought it.
