It's a delivery Artie, not a bring home, this is how I make ends meet these days.

I think you’re rescuing the fallen wood from the state of KALIFORNIA, so as to get wood for the shop, and leave less to burn in the forest fires. I won’t tell. SSSHHH everyone.

Had I know about the outing, I would have flown out in the TPW corporate Gulfstream. Maybe next year.

  • You do know John took it to Hawaii for a month?

OK, I really messed up with the photos, so we'll try again.  Artie and I got together for the second annual meeting of the New England chapter of  " The Patriot Woodworker" without borrowing the company yacht or plane. Artie's taxi service did it all. The event was a huge success. Both of us really had an enjoyable day. Artie's very well organized Shopsmith shop was a pleasure to walk into. Very well thought out. After spending a bit of time chatting in the comfort of his shop we headed out for the annual dinner. Since we forgot the company debit card, Artie took care of the check. We then went back to Arties home and he showed me some of the fruits of his second hobby, scanning the beaches with his metal detector. Might be more profitable than woodworking.  I got to meet Arties wife and some of the family before the taxi service took me home.

Sorry about that guys.  The Yacht sunk, and the plane had two blowouts and needs a brake job.

That bandsaw box Al is holding, that he made, was a gift he gave to my wife. First time I ever saw her speechless :) She will be reading this thread later on, so it looks like it’s the couch for me tonight LOL. Al has now set the bar pretty high for any future woodworking gifts I can make for me Missus. We had a great day. One of the items we voted on was for the PWW to allow us to offer free membership, usage of the PWW yacht and jet, and free advice from all members to help us recruit new members from New England. (Oh wait, I’m told we already have that stuff). We did decide that we are going to set up a real meeting of any and all New England members for a meet and greet at a place convenient to all. Be nice to put more faces with more names.

The rental is a tad high for this place you guys are talking about.

Perhaps the Executive Board of the New England TPW would consider extending the invitations to those of us in NY/PA?  Of course crowd control might be a major factor.
