I'm watching a video where the presenter keeps talking about the "draws" in the desk.   I always figured this was a redneck malapropism.  But this person is obviously not a redneck.  Merriam Webster does not list "draw" as a valid definition for this.      What word do you use to describe these?

Sliding box maybe?

When I was a kid the draws were in the drawer.

It's drawer for me. Draws is a slang word for britches like Bob says.

ANd here I always thought it was spelled Droors, or Droars.Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Maybe, just maybe, I am not a redneck... never heard it called draw.  But then never heard of pants being called draws either.

Being from the south this might have been foreign as things were put in a box or sack. Draw must have been a northern word from around Boston.
