No problems Artie, like the title says... it is a small table I didn't get to post earlier, just about to when a crew showed up to patch and recoat the driveway. One of those outside projects that were "coming up". I did get the balance of the inserts cut out and sanded to final dimensions yesterday. Cleaned up the shop, had to blow it out twice! And then color applied. I plan to begin poly today. Unfortunately, it is very cloudy and 40's-50's and damp today and tomorrow. No problem, the wife is out of town working this week. I already have it all set up in the living room! (No, this is not the living room...)

May get our's patched and re-coated tomorrow too...more snow in the forecast BTW, most excellent work on the table. The flush fit drawer is perfect on this piece...looking forward to the full reveal of the top. Edited January 14, 20197 yr by Grandpadave52 typo

A mix of 50% dark red mahogany and 50% dark mission brown. That was topped with 2 coats of clear gloss poly mixed 3:1 with mineral spirits, and a final coat of clear satin poly, also 3:1. I also applied a sealer to the edges of the "marble" triangles yesterday. Plans call for assembly and setting in place this morning after I do the dishes...
January 17, 20197 yr Author Hmmm, I thought I made that post to Dan yesterday with this pic... Oh well, an update will follow...

January 17, 20197 yr Author Popular Post As mentioned "yesterday", I assembled and set in place. No problems Artie, but I must admit - everytime I carried the cardboard template in it was always vertical, I never carried it to check the fit through the door! Speaking for myself, I am quite happy with the results. I am still struggling to find a good finishing schedule that makes me happy. I will just have to take on another project to further test my finishing skills Wifey gets home this evening. That will be the final say, yea or nay. Herewith, pics: And the vanity and mirror projects from two years ago with matching tub walls. I have a couple pieces of the marble from the vanity, but they are much thicker than the tub surround. Haven't come up with a project for those, yet.
