What is this called and where to find one

Maybe I dreamed this- I have been known to have very strange dreams- but I was sure I've seen something like this. The ones I remembered have a threaded post on the bottom. About .25" diameter and maybe 1" tall. Even created this image to see if Google Images could locate it. All it found were bullets-

Thanks

Lew,

Check for locating pins.

Your Welcome.

They may go under different names, but that's what they were listed as in the Fastenal cabinets at work.

The come in different sizes also.

I'm working on a project for my sister. I was thinking of modifying them to become small sign holders. The sign would slip into an elongated slot.

Thanks, Stick. What I envisioned was something with a threaded post on the bottom. Might be able to use the cap nut instead.

There are some specialty fasteners but usually they want you to buy 1,000.

Thanks! I may have to get some brass rod and create my own. Still waiting for response from sister as to how to proceed.
