I see I am either in need of buying a phone or I am going to have to start carrying my Wixey with me.  I guess being "one bubble off" isn't cool anymore.  Who knew?

Advantages of the Clinometer:

1. It's Free

2. It's Accurate

3. Being on the phone it's a. handy b. it's rechargeable and, c. it's easier to read at any angle.

It won't reaplace my old standbys for angle finding but it's another tool in the arsenal.

And, did I mention...IT'S FREE.

App found!

Right under my nose all along...

The compass does it, kinda sorta.  Doing some shop work this AM and decided to take another shot at this puzzle.  With the phone set against the fence, that reading compared to the reading with the phone against the blade gives the measurement.

The only problem I seen is that it would never give the exact same readings over and over.  Close, but not "on the money".

Sometimes you get what you pay for I reckon.

Didja get the right one? Mine's a true inclinometer. Don't think it has a compass or bubble level function.

No, this is the compass in my iphone.  If it did not come with the phone, must be the Mrs. or one of the young ones put it in there for me...

I think the phone app may require the phone to be out of the case for consistent readings
