Hello Keith, I use that foam in my workbench drawers and like it a lot.  A bit on the pricey side though I think.  One tip that I got from a YouTube vid is to heat up a metal rod and use it to "melt'

Keith, my son used Kaizen in all his tool box drawers. And, he was a jet mechanic. Unfortunately, he also learned how to be disorganized from his dad. His shop is a disaster. Makes me proud.

My gun case interiors will be lined and sculpted with Kaizen. Any leftovers might find their way into a drawer or two.

Torque Multiplier Plate Reaction Style Input 1/2" Sq./Output 1-1/2" Sq.

Part Number : 9S395WR

i would probably put it in a few layers of that stuff.

Gear ratio 60:1.   Doesn't that mean you have to do 60 revolutions to do one turn on your nut or bolt!?

Yes it does.  Use the multiplier after you get it as tight as you can with a conventional wrench.

I am in the process of rethinking a lot of my tool storage.  I have one cabinet that I use to store paint brushes and related supplies in. It has a double panel in the back.  The first is a standard 1/4" back then I have a 3/4" dead space then a sheet of peg board. I use the peg hooks to organize all the brushes and stuff.  Keeps em hanging neatly and at the ready. In the past I used peg board in the backs of larger cabinets but unless you reinforce it it ends up sagging. I did buy one section of metal pegboard from Menards and I use it to hang all my levels and framing squares on. I had some 24" deep wire shelves and I mounted it to the end of the shelves.

Well, I don't know why I came here tonight
I got the feeling that something ain't right
I'm so scared in case I fall off my chair,
And I'm wondering how I'll get down those stairs.

Shelves to the left of me, pegboard to the right,

Here I am, stuck in the middle with you:

I think it's "the space dictates the storage".

This is a corollary to Parkinson's Law -- Junk expands to fill empty space.

Just made a stop at Costco.   If I didn't have one already.

Peg Board is a place to hang stuff you never want to find again, and go out and buy a new one to use once and hang up along side the one you couldn't find..

That's a nice box, Keith. But, $600 "is a lot of money". :D etc., etc.

That's close to what I spent on lumber and hardware building a dresser.   And I didn't have nearly as many drawers and they were 3/4 extension, not full extension slides.

Some time I want to visit Gerstner up on Dayton.  They make some fine mechanics' / patternmakers' chest -- all by hand (mostly).   I could get into building one of those for myself.  Love those painted brick walls  But $1300 is a lot of money ;)

Still shaking my head at the guy who at auction bid over $100 (before tax and bidder's premium) for a Harbor Freight mechanics chest with lots of scratches and dings that he could have bought new on the same day for $89.

Man, that's a thoroughly enjoyable video. Those folks know their stuff.

Thanks for posting, Keith.

Just found out Gerstner's Spring sale / open house is this Friday and Saturday.    Too hot and rainy to do anything else, so I might have to go.

i would love to have one (or more, lol) of their boxes, but for now will just stick with my old Kennedy 520.  One of these days i would like to refurbish it right.

I see those Gerstner chests show up occasionally on CL, they are never listed at a cheap price. They are quite handsome chests.

Shameful.

I've had a few that have called the woodworking club, "We're in town for the next three days cleaning up my late father's home.   Come get all the stuff from his workshop."    We put it in our annual fund-raising auction.

I usually turn down the baby food jars full of unsorted hardware.   Life is too short to sort out six different length brad nails (usually rusty).
