March 20, 20179 yr Popular Post I remember, back some time ago when Matt said, There's only so much you can do with a box. You've proved that there are no limits to what you can do. Beautiful!

March 20, 20179 yr Ed, always enjoy seeing your work. I've incorporated some of your technics & tips into some jewelry boxes I've done for the granddaughters. I really like the art deco banding you've made for this box. I have found that there is a point when making a box with an inlay that can be too much and it is that point that makes it look goddy or over done. In all your post, here & at wood, you have never crossed that line. Your mix of solids and inlays bring the wood together perfectly. Great job.
March 21, 20179 yr No words left for me to say, but it really is enjoyable seeing what you can do with wood!

March 21, 20179 yr That is one AWESOME looking box! Too bad there are only a few things a person can do with a box (insert sarcastic tone)
March 21, 20179 yr Author I cut a 5/8 * 3/8 rabbet on the top edges because I am going to put a cove on the top with the intent of garnering 3/8 to match the rest. the rest of the rabbets are 3/8 *3/8..... Done for today.... Tomorrow, she'll get a coved top on the tablesaw...
March 21, 20179 yr Wow! I bet you could get $20 for that at a craft show. Though you might have to bargain down to $18 if they offered 15 </sarcasm> Seriously, beautiful work!
March 25, 20179 yr ()()()()()()()()()()...seriously, no fitting words in my vocabulary to describe a project of this caliber...Please keep the pictures coming through the completed project
