Recently decided that the screen tools needed to be with the actual screen spline. Being that the spline need a spool to be on complicates storage in a 1 1/2 inch tall drawer. Looking through the shop I found 2 of 4 boxes I made awhile back that would fit the bill. Made the spool by taking a 1 1/2 piece of scrap pine and cutting in half. Then made a channel on each piece 1/8 deep and glued it back together. This will allow the threaded rod to go through to hold it together and give me something to turn the spool to wind it up later.
