January 30Jan 30 Popular Post Waiting on hardware for the church's prayer box. Need to shovel a path for the propane guy to access the tank.
January 30Jan 30 Popular Post Continuing to work on my "filter cart" that will have an old furnace blower and then filters on the other end to try to improve air quality in thr shop. Top will be an added surface for glueup, etc. I was going to use plywood but saw this laminated particle board for half the cost (3/4 thick with laminate on both faces). I'll edge band to finish that part off. Doesn't need to be high strength so hopefully this will be workable and like that glue cleanup shoild be easyOne progress picture with my bored helper as "we" installed the castersAnd end of day yesterday (top not yet attached) with the supervisor taking credit for the work done so far. 😉
January 30Jan 30 Popular Post SWMBO requested a new mantle clock, so I'm working on this one from a Woodsmith plan. The text says it's a weekend project, but doesn't specify how many weekends! 😄I don't have any curly maple, so I'm using some of that good NE cherry that my son brings annually.

No different than previous years; my party is to celebrate the end of the %$#)(>@#^%$#!)(*?><{ NFL football season. My wife will be attending as well. Otherwise, if I get out to the shop may be puttering around out there a little as well.

I watched it while on my exercise bike (inside as it's freezing and snow covered outside!) - good info. I actually feel almost better about my solution as I'll have easy to clean/change filters plus I'm gaining some horizontal surface which I seem to never have enough.Today I got the cart better leveled on the wheels, added the middle side braces and other cleats to hold the filters, cut the plywood for the middle "shelf" that will hold the motor (used cardboard to figure out all the cuts), and lastly cut some thin plywood for a lower shelf to store extra filters.Top still not attached. Need to figure out how best to do some edge banding as there's some chipping of the edge.Hopefully tomorrow will get the motor area enclosed and that secured in place.I'm not fast...but am persistent 😉 Edited January 30Jan 30 by BB1
