January 2Jan 2 Popular Post First Friday of the new year. Other than hibernating until Monday when it's supposed to warm up, not a whole lot of anything going on here "Two Weeks From Anywhere". What's on Your Weekend Agenda?
January 2Jan 2 Popular Post Weather is nice here in Missouri. Hope to get started on the cabinet door for the next storage cabinet, and if temps are good, apply some finish. Current status has the box assembled (prepainted the inside), cleats for shelves installed, and shelves cut to size.
January 2Jan 2 Popular Post I seem to have caught some kind pf bug, probably at some medical facility I was visiting (of the many) over the past week. I may not be able to get anything done tryng to shake this off. But before it got me down I did get a prototype of my pet urn completed, now I have an idea of what I want to do. Also got all the needed veneer for the serpentine drawer sideboard I need to build. But I also need to pick up a sheet of MDF to cut up for the form to do the lamination. Other than that it was another raucous NYE at our house. I drank 3 beers (instead of just 2) and went to bed 1/2 hour later....9;30 instead of 9P. Whew, glad that only happens once a year.
January 2Jan 2 Popular Post Finally above freezing here. Need to make a run to Lowe's for some Dremel accessories 2 hours ago, BB1 said: Weather is nice here in Missouri. Hargis Jr There's some nasty stuff lurking around here. I'm told you need to drink plenty of fluids- I hear beer is an excellent source...

They had to get down a new pallet as there was only one panel and I needed 5. They let me pick which ones I wanted as they unloaded and filed the bay. Good timing and very nice of them.

Another baby shower tomorrow, first though, dropping our son off at the airport, he's heading back to base after the long Christmas break, then I need to start getting serious for building a baby cradle for the arrival of our grandson next month. Be safe everyone!
January 2Jan 2 Popular Post Quiet, cold, overcast, gloomy start to 2026; Just performing the minimum daily requirements. Still in awe of IU Football's spanking of 'Bama in the Rose Bowl. Not much in the forecast for the weekend; Church Sunday; youngest grandson has basketball travel league games later in the afternoon. I donut see any doughnuts in the weekend forecast either.
January 3Jan 3 Popular Post I treated myself to a Christmas present this morning and went to Harbor Freight and bought a Hercules job siite table saw. So I will be fine tuning it and trying it out this weekend.

Just waiting to hear those words from Paul Finebaum. I've lived 73 years to say them about IU football. I began having hope after the Cubs won the World Series in 2016.

January 4Jan 4 Popular Post Well almost got one thing off my list today. Got the frame up and now almost there. And this is the result of my w as ll project. Just kept looking for brick and finally got there.
January 4Jan 4 Popular Post @Gerald...Wow you worked past 5:45P on the brick walk. I know because it's dark.😆 You'd have to chip past frozen ground here to do that right now. Walk looks great though as does that door on your enclosure. You're getting there. Aren't you glad you're retired?
