Pretty happy with this one. I have always liked the way walnut and white oak compliment each other. This is also one of the ideas I've had in the back of my mind for quite a long time. A little bigger at about 1.5" diameter. It's not "hollowed" in the traditional sense but I did cross drill a through hole under the medallion with a 1" forstner bit to remove some material and weight.

The ornament has a star on two sides and a manger motif on two sides.
