Popular Post kmealy Posted September 4 Popular Post Report Posted September 4 I got reminded of "memories" on Facebook of the assembly table/workbench that I made. It started off with a bunch of Baltic birch boxes from an auction of a Sam's Club where I got the whole wine display rack for less than $8. Besides the 30 or so boxes, I got some 2x4s, some plywood, a box of 100 or so square-drive screws, and a metal rack that I gave to a friend who has a feed supply business. I used a jig to cut hand-holds in all the boxes, that became drawers to hold supplies and most-used tools. If needed, they slide right out and can be carried where needed I made the top 4'x8', so I made the base so it would come apart with just a few carriage bolts. Everything else is slip together joinery that easily comes apart if and when I need to move it. I also finally got a place to install my Emmert's patternmaker's vise. It rotates 360 degrees, tilts up to 90 degrees, and can be adjusted to hold tapered pieces. I had a couple tracks to use with my Rockler hold downs and Matchfit clamps. Popular Post John Morris Posted September 4 Popular Post Report Posted September 4 Really cool Keith, quite the build! Sometimes those memories pop up on FB and remind us of some pretty cool things. I bet you were really proud of that one. Gerald, HARO50, Grandpadave52 and 2 others 5 Quote
