Sorry for the late topic guys, I'm home today, forgot it was Monday!

Waiting for a laptop to update and the wind to calm down before I venture out into the world.

I'm retired; Mondays are no longer allowed. 

Was able to un-freeze the Chevy..went to Wall E World..and still forgot half of what I went after...yep..Monday..

 Shoveled the sidewalk & wheeled the trashcan back. Wait for this deep freeze to hit tomorrow. Bought a diorama to keep my hands & brain active this week.

Spent the day recovering from the weekend. Friday night dinner out was nice. Saturdays trip down state and back was about 11 hours total. Kicked my rear. Good day and worth it though; daughter and I had great time together.

 

Granddaughter didn't know I was coming and bringing her mother to the swim meet. Emotional day for her swimming her final collegiate mile event; wasn't a personal best, but by far, this seasons best time; gained her one position over her seed time. Prior to the evening and meet finals, all seniors are recognized along with their parents. Her dad made it there too. He missed her senior day recognition at the University.

 

Week ahead, survive this round of bitter cold, likely some more snow, some domestic chores and maintain the bird feeders. Donut know if I'll make a donut expedition.

Who would have guessed there is a place with more planes, saws and egg beater drills than @steven newman.  Can't be many left in the wild in that state.

Spent my afternoon filling a few bug holes in book cabinet shelves and the started sanding on them. Noticed the Dust deputy was full on the way out of shop so dumped it. Now to clean out the Cyclone. 

Have Laundry Detail, today....might take an inventory of planes, drills, and saws?   We'll see....

Laundry has been started...Planes?  23 Block planes + 43 Bench Planes...IN the shop.

10 Pencils....and 12 Brace drills...found a 3rd Stanley No. 80, that I will need to rehab and sharpen...

That's over in the Amish area of Ohio, the second largest concentration of them in the USA (Behind PA).

 

That reminds me, years ago, we vacationed in eastern PA.   One day, I called into work to make sure everything was OK.  There was a band playing in the background and my co-worker asked where I was.  I said I was right in the middle of Intercourse (PA).   She giggled.

Brother called at 6:00 AM needed a ride from work to get a battery for their 2022 HRV. 

Calls for a Group 51R battery.

Advance Auto wanted $218.00 and a $22.00 core charge. 

AutoZone 209.99 with a $10.00 core charge or 229.99 with a $22.00 core charge. 

 

Menards $117.00 with a $10.00 core charge, we got the last one they had. 

 

 

 

Batteries from Menards  are pretty reasonable. I bought two for the boat 3 years ago. This is tye first year I’ve left them in the boat in the cold. So far so good, but I will try the charger soon just to see..

 

Menards sells a lot of those batteries..
