Stick in the vise....

 

 

...and snap it off.

 

 

 

 

 

File it....

 

 

.and sand it smooth.

 

Lay out the dado.

 

 

 

Saw the walls to depth....

If I went by that rule I'd have to stop woodworking 4 months out of the year. But I do have limits.

We have snow coming down as I type. Thankfully they are only calling for 1-4 inches. But....rain and sleet tomorrow. Oof. I keep hopin' we will dry out a bit, but so far, no dice.
