Mounting the supplied mounting board to my rustic shelf. My preferred show side was bowed up. Wasn't sure how the corners would do,..I glued one end to see if the corners flattened out. Last night I glued the middle and opposite end. Secured with dowels of a couple sizes this morning.

Dowels cut down, some filler applied. Some sanding and staining to blend them in. I didn't wipe off excess glue at the time of application, it soaked in the basswood more than it would have a hardwood,..but it'll be alright. Moving along.

Edit: There will be a finish applied.

Applied some finish today and fine tuning the supports for the boat. I'm substituting antler for the kit wood.
