:ChinScratch: Looks like we survived until another Friday folks. ;)

It's been one of those weeks here "Two Weeks from Anywhere" with if it could go wrong, it did. <_<

1) Monday, Furball took out Windows 11 computer.  Haven't had time to figure it out. :Tapping:

Had some fun helping cousin assemble an order for 53 computers, he's setting them up today with a Wi-Fi 6E Mesh system.

2) Tuesday, Spent part of day getting wifes old Windows 10 computer running again with salvaged parts from "Curb Shopping" find.

Stepson hit a Racoon and took out radiator on his 08 Cobalt, texted wife around Midnight.

3) Wednesday, Went "Curb Shopping with Bruce just to get away from getting "Volunteered" for another of their car fixes. (Was pick day of the week.)

Shoulder's still sore from having to go "Caveman" on their Equinox to replace hub bearings. :Tapping:

4)Thursday, Informed Stepson and his wife " You're on your own this time" which didn't go over well, my wife finally shut off her phone so she wouldn't have to listen to the DIL :ArguingSmileys: about it after informing them it's $217.99 for replacement radiator, and the fact that "They're on their own this time."

5) Friday, Expecting a repeat of Thursday.

I think I'll go into hiding for the weekend. :P

What's on Your Weekend Agenda?

Yet another medial appointment for Marie today. If i get time later i have to repair a leak on a Rug Doctor I bought 25 years ago in a pawn shop (the old kind with a separate cleaning head). The pump gasket started leaking and I'll repair it with RTV. If any other time is available I'll be screwing around with the lathe.

I've spent the last two days thinking today was Saturday... I got a free day!!!

After a big rain yesterday I am ready to mow the lawn again.  Last week the mower quit 1/2 way through and I had to finish up with the lawn tractor.  Installed a new spark plug a couple days ago and it started back up so I may get that job done this afternoon.  Calling for a windy afternoon though, so I may put it off a day and cut some 1/4 round trim for daughters pantry.  So, my weekend is mowing the lawn, cutting and finishing trim.

Youngest grandson's 10th birthday is today; party tonight. He has a soccer match tomorrow morning we have to get him there. Daughter has to take his brother to AAU basketball games at the same time. If we can get some drying from 3+" of rain, I've got to play pick-up sticks followed jungle clearing. April showers bring mud...lots of mud. Sunday AM, church; Sunday PM, TBD.:GoodNight:

Thanks Lew,

Maybe this will make you feel better.

Just looked at the computer parts my cousin sent me home with.

I managed to grab the 14 pin TPM card for the Master computer motherboard instead of the 12 pin that the Workstation computer motherboards use.

Nice score! When I did my last upgrade, the MSI mobo had the TPM header but I needed to get the card. That was right after the Taiwan chip factory fire. I couldn't upgrade to W11 until I found one. I didn't realize there were 2 different pin configurations for the one I needed. Of course the one I ordered and waited months to arrive had the wrong configuration. Turned out OK though, got my money back and found one I needed at 1/3 the price.

picked up a futon yesterday, brought it back, fixed the cracked leg, bought a replacement nut (metric, of course) for the loose bolt that went thru the leg that was cracked, repair job is fine, nut installed on bolt, will pack it all up later and bring it to a young lady the church is helping out.

they say it's a "service opportunity", but it looks just like work.

I know better, just grabed one from the wrong box. :BangingHead:

Not sure who/where cousin is getting his parts from but he said that buying them by the bulk case packaging he's getting the B450M-A PRO MAXII for about $15.00/piece.

The B450M PRO-VDH MAX boards that he used for the Master PC's, and the NAS system we're about $25.00/piece bulk packaging.

Not sure who they were assembled for but I have no idea why they want/need 32gb RAM for the Workstaions, and 128gb Ram for the Master PC's and NAS system.

Not sure what he paid for the Corsair Vengeance LPX memory sticks or the NVME M.2 SSD's, but those were also bulk packs.

Maybe Aliexpress. When we first started with PC's at school, we bought from someplace out of CA. Can't remember the name but they had great prices on their stuff. I think they buy from CDW now- school discount.

:ChinScratch: Makes one wonder what it costs the big PC makers (HP, Dell, etc.) to build one of those outragiously priced PC's they sell.

@lew,

Do you think a 500gb Samsung 970 EVO NVME M.2 for the OS drive is big enough?

I just remembered I've got one from a previous build that can't be upgraded to W11. It's loaded with W10 HP.

The Workstations were put together with the OEM (System Builders) 250gb versions of the 970 EVO.

I'll be using three Seagate Baracuda 1tb 7200RPM HDD's for Data Storage. Two will have to be ran externally (eSata) because after I modified the 2U Rack/Desktop case to accomodate an AIO cooler snagged from a SuperMicro server the case will only fit one HDD besides a DVD/RW drive.
