March 8, 20242 yr Popular Post Well I'll be danged, it's Friday again Folks! Bruce, and I managed to get the plow installed on the Blazer earlier in the week. So of course, it looks like we're in for a most of the day here "Two Weeks From Anywhere". Guess testing it out will have to wait. Not exactly sure what I'll be doing over the weekend, which leads to the question. What's on Your Weekend Agenda?
March 8, 20242 yr Popular Post Trying to get the Boss moved from OSU Rhodes Hall in Columbus, OH. to My RN Daughter's house in Dayton, OH... Beyond that?
March 8, 20242 yr Popular Post One of the more important projects I've worked on (), an elevated dog feeder for our daughter's Wheaten Terrier. Apparently his arthritis has gotten bad enough that eating from his bowl on the floor is a problem. Happy to do this, but it doesn't have an "heirloom" panache to it. While doing that I'm watching the pond; we have a new resident muskrat that I need to kill. We had 2 right after we bought this place and I was able to dispatch them, this is the first one we've had since then.

March 8, 20242 yr Popular Post Got most of my domestic chores done the past couple of days. Still need to drive the vacuum around. I did manage to play around in the garage a couple afternoons this past week. Oldest grandson wraps up his wrestling season (and I suspect career) with the conference meet tomorrow. It's another all day event so I won't be attending. I can't do bleachers that long anymore. Several church responsibilities Sunday; pastor will be gone. Reminder, your Spring time tax is due at 2A, Sunday morning.

March 8, 20242 yr Popular Post Larry, I hope that plow is for a cornfield. For me it's finishing up 20 cribbage boards for the Elk's state bowling tourney raffles. shouldn't be too difficult. Next it is getting started on a corporate gift order we just received yesterday. 500 small cutting boards due to ship in the next few weeks. No rest for the weary but it's a nice shot in the wallet right before vacation.

March 8, 20242 yr Popular Post With any luck I will be able to glue and assemble these two podiums. I have a friend laser engraving a logo for a funeral home on them. I need to get them out of my shop.
March 9, 20242 yr Popular Post Daughter and all of her kids decided to invade the house today...and "clean" it up....got fed up with the way things were starting up...and rather than go into a RAGE at them....I went on a Road Trip for the entire afternoon..until they had left. Spent way too much..but, it was a ME DAY....needed to just go away from things for a while...Trip was to Springfield OH....2 Antique Malls..Had to buy gas for the Chevy, too. Took 77 photos, today....been trying to whittle that down a bit.... 4 items bought: Block plane is a Craftsman..4" Square is a Stanley...strange looking thing is a Stanley No, 66...with fence ( $70 plane) The "4th"? Was these for $10....Square was $7...plane was $15. Gas was $25.04.... Will need to find the holder that fits these dies... And..figure where to post the rest of the Road Trip's Photos... Need a Lift?

I once had a co-worker from Appalachia who would say, "That there's some fine eatin'." Oh, no wait, he was talking about groundhogs, but you have to remove the sweat glands. My late brother-in-law (non-Appalachian) once brought home a road-kill squirrel for my sister to cook. Word was it didn't turn out very well.
