March 10, 20242 yr Popular Post Well, I spent Saturday afternoon at the theater set shop. We had a new volunteer, a 72 year old grandfather of one of the cast members. He appeared to have been a pro carpenter, at least at some point. He came in with a big sack of tools and a huge tool belt with a 24 oz framing hammer. Though I was a bit amused, when he needed to cut a board, he'd take the board over to the table saw (and past two workbenches) and use his cordless circular saw to make a cut. I guess that's the difference between a carpenter and a furniture maker?
