Schedule just got busier.  Wife received notice she will be taking her US Citizenship Exam next month.

Glad you figured that as you lost me for sure

Mice were coming in through the outside air intake opening for the front HVAC system.

I sandwhiched a piece of "Critter Screen" between the blower motor housing outside air intake, and the cowl.

They were getting into the cowl by going around the hood hinges, then coming through the blower motor housing.

So rather than taking the hood, fenders, etc. off and trying to close up multiple openings I closed off the blower motor housing outside air intake.

Update:

Went out and checked the trap, no "Unwanted Tenants" and the two paper towels I left on the drivers, and passengers side floor were untouched. They had been shredding paper towels/tissues for bedding.

Now to hope they don't start chewing the wiring under the hood.

Especially if the wiring insulation is soy-based.

 Somebody on the Honda forum said the same thing!

They suggested putting moth balls under the hood, but both of us don't like that smell either. :Tapping:

So far I've been lucky, I've had the carpeting, headliner, and every interior trim panel except the main dash removed from the vehicle.

I've yet to find any chewed on wiring, and I could see most of the wiring behind/under the dash when I had the gauge cluster, radio, center console, and passengers side airbag removed. If nothing else it will keep "Critters, & Stuff" from getting into the blower, and evaporator housings. I didn't care for the stinky 3 1/2-4" thick nest they made against the whole depth of the cabin air filter and the half full blower squirrel cage fan. :WhoMe:

:ChinScratch: Not sure if it is or not. :WonderScratch:

:P But if it is them darned "Critters" might not like the taste. <_<

hint:  if you ever find yourself with an infestation of critters in your vehicle, if you have a local ice house or large commercial freezer locker, you can park your car or truck in the freezer for a day, and whatever is living, will be frozen dead.

this will require a lot of cooperation with the freezer place.  get it down to -40F, that'll work.  and then gently thaw the car again before trying to restart it.

I've been letting them loose back at the city's edge, they head for the subdivision behind us. :DevilLaughing:

They head down the hill for as long as I watch them. I tell them the $300K+ homes are that way. ;)
