Fortunately it only hurts when I stand-up, sit down, lay down, bend over, walk or breathe; other than that it's not too bad. Guess we'll see where this goes. Been there doing that!! Gobbling Tylenol has helped a little

I've got a jar full of high powered Rx meds, but they're basically worthless + plus too many undesirable side effects for me. Heat seems to help too but kinda hard to do when it's 80+ outside. Using lidocaine patches seems to help the most. Wish I could get those in a full body wrap size. Edited June 6, 20224 yr by Grandpadave52
June 7, 20224 yr Popular Post Yesterday, with a little help and guidance from her brother, Phyl turned a small dish from a Pistachio burl. She finished it with a few coats of Aussie oil. It's nice. She's got the bug. We may need to invest in some SS equip. to make a lathe. I could use a tail stock, live center and, the pointed thingie that secures the work to the head stock. Those things are needed to make a thickness sander like this one.
June 7, 20224 yr Popular Post I'd say she did really good! If she becomes a turner you'll wind up buying more than those parts tho'.
June 7, 20224 yr @lew & @Grandpadave52 My day starts with what I call my "Breakfast of Chumps" two aspirin and an allergy pill.
June 9, 20224 yr Popular Post After much waiting and hitting refresh on the tracking site.... my benchcrafted hardware for the workbench build has shown up!!! Excited to get started on this project!!
June 12, 20224 yr Popular Post It's Sunday, here. Getting a head start on John's Monday post. Started at 0:400 and got my portable swamp cooler all hooked up and pumping out coolness. Finished up the first round of sanding on all the glued up panels for the Limbert table legs. Second round this afternoon. Time for a bit of nourishment, some TV and, a nap.
June 12, 20224 yr Popular Post After a long week of changing jobs mid week and some out side the house side work, plus a viisit to Mothers Saturday. I am finally off and able to get back to work on my cabinet for the porch. Have the drawer to assemble and doors to make. Little bit of priming to be done on outside of cabinet. Borrowing from @Gene Howe a nap is probably in order later today. Edited June 12, 20224 yr by Gunny

After my Arby's Roast beef, turned on the TV, powered the recliner back, woke up much later with a cat stretched across my lamp. He wasn't ready to get up but to his credit, he did go outside. I'm still thinking about going out. Edited June 12, 20224 yr by Grandpadave52
June 12, 20224 yr Popular Post Nourishment consumed. Nap done. 109° outside. As much as I enjoy it, I think I'll forego the planned sanding for this afternoon. Not tomorrow, either. Phyl has an eye doctor appt. at 09:00, involving dilatation so, I'll need to play chauffeur. It's an hour's drive to the office plus, she wants to stop at Hobby Lobby. Likely won't get home until afternoon. Looks like Tuesday for sanding resumption.
