Manchester University so about 35 minutes away?? Her final choices based on visits were there or Huntington College. She applied then was accepted into MU's Honors program. MU won out when the swim coach intervened. Huntington doesn't have a swim program. Both are very good schools. She's a Freshman bio-chem major, whatever that is.

Did some holiday grocery shopping yesterday before the rush next week.  As usual, 26 checkout lines, 3 open.

 

Tomorrow a grand-daughter has a voice recital and later in the day a piano recital.  

 

Sunday we're looking at a church as the potential new HQ for the theater group.   Nice thing is that it's about half the distance from the house.  Bad thing it's just a bit more than half the sq. ft. as current spot, that we are renting and will probably get torn down in the next year.

Wonderful news stories, too.

Will plan menu for Christmas day.  Laundry is all done except for towels.  Will turn finial for cedar box and insert dividers.  Will put some of the house back together since daughter came and took some of her stuff that she left 20 years ago.  Supposed to rain most of the weekend and turn cool in the early part of the week.  So, most outside activities will wait until next weekend.

After several nights of edge banding various panels I should be ready to assemble them.

 

 

 

my wife asked "what are you doing in the shop this weekend?"

 

"nothing"

 

"that's what you did last weekend!"

 

"I wasn't finished...."

 

i'm here all week, try the veal, tip the waitress, and play some slots!

Got the last color on gift handbells and hope to get most of lacquer on today.

actually, i'm making a stretcher frame later for her latest counted cross stitch work.  she washes it, then we stretch it over the frame, attaching it with staples, so it dries flat and square, then later I make a frame for it.  just some scrap wood for the project today.

A cabinet that will house two trash cans, one for trash I cannot burn, the other for what I can burn.  The top will be a flat surface next to this "sink" cabinet I built last year for finishing room.  In this picture I have the current trash can next to the cabinet.  The cans will be oriented sideways so 15 1/4 inches wide, one in front and the back one will be accessed by opening in the side of cabinet facing door. 

 

Not sure on what tool brand emblem I will use on this one.  I sent an email to Suffox Tool Company requesting a sticker or emblem, offering to pay for it.  Even included picture of this build as example of what I planned to do with it.  Already got reply from Delta, resounding NO.  JET never replied the last time I asked about same for a trash can add on I built for my JET bandsaw.  Might use a Mercedes emblem I have from work.  Should really add value to the cabinet.
