There is a lot of waste when made according to the article.   I had one longer board cut into strips and drilled 4 holes in each.  Then I ran the threaded rods thru and cut the angles nesting them like this /\/\/   

 

I suppose you could be a little more mathmatical and figure out to cut piece 1 & 30, 2 & 29,... but then drilling the holes would be more of a challenge than setting a stop and drilling a bunch of them.

Could not resist and made one. By the way 7/8 is not large enough for kisses, used 1 inch.

I made one and likely won't make any more. Everyone that saw it on Thanksgiving thought it was pretty neat, but very few of the Kisses got eaten.

I have found that the small, wrapped Reeses, and Rolos, also fit.

Kisses loaded.  Count was 104.   The wife found a bag at Costco containing 350.  Might have to make some cookies with them on top.
